StarTex Linen Buyback Program

At StarTex, we are committed to sustainability and reducing the environmental impact of the hospitality industry. One way we do this is by implementing a comprehensive hotel linen recycling program. Through this program, we are able to recycle over 2 million pounds of discarded hotel linens each year, diverting these materials from landfills and reducing waste.

Our linen recycling process begins when hotels send their used linens to our facilities. These linens are then sorted and separated according to their type and quality. Any linens that are still in good condition are cleaned and sanitized, and then exported to be used in medical facilites, or to have its fibers recycled. Any linens that are too worn or damaged to be reused are sent for shredding and repurposing to wiping cloths for industrial markets.

The benefits of our hotel linen recycling program are numerous. By recycling 2 linens each year, we are able to save a significant amount of space in landfills and reduce the negative environmental impact of these materials. In addition, recycling hotel linens conserves natural resources, as it reduces the demand for new linens to be produced. This helps to lower greenhouse gas emissions and reduce energy consumption.

Our hotel linen recycling program is just one of the ways we are working to make the hospitality industry more sustainable. By finding innovative solutions to reduce waste and conserve resources, we are able to make a positive impact on the environment and create a more sustainable future for all.
